1989.02-1999.11 国家海洋局第一海洋研究所历任助理研究员、副研究员(1995年)、研究员(1997年)。1996年开始招收硕士研究生。

1999.11-2003.01 美国特拉华大学遥感中心博士后研究员。

2003.01-2004.10 美国南密西西比大学助理研究科学家,同时为美国海军研究实验室(斯坦尼斯空间中心)合同研究员。

2003.10-2009.02 美国俄勒冈健康与科学大学及波特兰州立大学分别任职副研究科学家和高级副研究员。

2009.02-2019.6  香港中文大学太空与地球信息科学研究所副教授、香港中文大学博士生导师、博士后导师,曾担任香港中文大学地球系科学辅修及主修学科协调负责人。
