中美联合湖泊流域-湿地研究中心
2013年3月重点实验室和美国中密执安大学大湖研究所联合组建了“中美联合湖泊一流域一湿地研究中心”。本“联合中心”旨在加强对中国第一大淡水湖鄱阳湖和北美五大湖及其相关流域和湿地生态系统、自然-人类耦合系统的生态和环境科学的合作性科学研究和学术交流。该中美联合中心的成立，为双方寻求合作性科学研究，提高对基础科学和应用科学问题，以及大湖系统环境和自然资源可持续性管理的认识提供了良好的工作平台。其相关学术和研究成果将对世界湖泊保护和利用产生积极而深远的影响。
Sino-U.S. Joint Center for Lake, Watershed and Wetland Studies
The Key Laboratory and the Grate Lake Institute of the Central Michigan University (CMU)_ established the “Sino-U.S. Joint Center for Lake.Watershed and Wetland Studies in March 2013. The Joint Center is to promote collaborative scientific research and mutual understanding of the ecology and environmental science of Poyang Lake, Lake Michigan and the other Laurencian Great Lakes, and the associated watersheds and wetland ecosystems, and coupled nature and human systems. With the establishment of the Sino-U.S. Joint Center for Great Lakes Research, we seek collabora-tive scientific investigations to improve our understanding of fundamental and applied science questions and management actions for the sustainability ofthe environments and natural resources of the great lakes systems. Studies of those great lakes systems have significant scientific and demonstration values for maintaining healthy regional ecosy stems and promoting a harmo-nious development between region S economy and the natural environment.
