我室陈晓玲教授、赵红梅副教授等于2006年9月发表于《Remote Sensing of Environment》上的论文（Xiaoling Chen, et.al., Remote Sensing Image-based Analysis on the Relationship between Urban Heat Island and Land Use / Cover Change, Remote Sensing of Environment, 104 (2) , 133-146, 2006），研究土地利用/地面覆盖类型在不同空间尺度上对城市热岛的影响，并综合利用多种遥感指数定量分析区域气候对城市热岛效应的响应，提供了一种全球变化的遥感定量分析思路。该论文在发表的当年即成为国际热点文章排名第一。2010年11月荣获“Elsevier环境科学领域2005 – 2010年最高被引中国作者”证书。目前已被《Remote Sensing of Environment》、《International Journal of Remote Sensing》、《Environmental Monitoring and Assessment》、《Remote Sensing and Modeling of Ecosystems for Sustainability》、《Science of the Total Environment》、《Environmental Earth Sciences 》、《Location Based Services and Telecartography》、《Earth Observation and Remote Sensing Applications》、《International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation 》、《Journal of Urban Planning and Development》、《Climate Research》、《Journal of Geographical Sciences》、《Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability》、《Journal of Hydrology》、《Journal of Urban Technology》、《Applied Ecology and Environmental Research》、《Landscape and Urban Planning》等SCI期刊论文引用48次，Google搜索已被他引54次。
